Rock
Child
are New York City rock culture at it's best. Having
been signed to Metal Blade, as a teen, when the curve of the trash metal
was just forming, guitarist Barry Fischel knows how to let cutting edge
plays in his hands. Collaboration with Tat-Jane has got his ever strong
song writing skills into popular music dimension. The vocalist Tat Jane,
European, prides herself a NY City Rock Child for many years. She had seen
every show and now puts on the rock show herself. She's been writing the
lyrics and melodies in the city that never sleeps. With a past in the couple
of R'N'R outfits, she is coming up with one that seems to define her talent
and imagination, musically and visually in the most profound way. And as
the life in the city is not easy, you can hear her and his agony and joy
in the music they write and perform. With the music as the passion and food
that feeds these two-you know you'll always get what you paid for, Rock
music all the way! |

When she was a kid, Tat-Jane
heard Neil Young on the radio. His voice, the songs, touched her deep inside.
That made up her mind, at that tender age, she wanted to sing and express
herself in this way. Not just to sing, but also to create her own songs,
that would perhaps touch other people hearts, like her heart was touched
when she heard Neil YoungÕs songs. She also wanted, with her songs, to TELL
her STORIES, possibly to inspire other people, to move them, like she was
moved. Tat-Jane was born on the Adriatic Coast. She was raised there, and,
around the cities in Europe, Belgrade, Oslo, Amsterdam, Toronto and finally,
she came to NYC, where she has lived, since the mid 90-tis. From the moment
she stepped onto the NYC pavement, she was tremendously inspired by the
cities energy and mass diversity. She instantly felt, she had found the
place, where the vision from her childhood, was possible, and could be realized.
Tat Jane continued to train in the arts and music; Vocals, keys and guitar,
all the while writing many of her lyrics and melodies for the RÕnÕR songs.
Rock Child was formed in 2003. Tat-Jane was looking for her 3rd guitarist
to collaborate and complete the songs; she was working on at the moment.
She answered an ad on craigslist where Barry Fischel, the guitarist, was
looking for a singer for his Metal project. Although, she knew that this
wasnÕt her vocal ability call, she met with Barry and took a couple of song
ideas Š riffs - to work on. TheyÕve been writing music since, and have recorded
several times in New York City and Brooklyn local Studios. The album LIFE
to BE, is a compilation from the catalog of songs, recorded and written
by these two. Different musicians have played on different recording projects
and live performances, with Tat-Jane and Barry along the way. In August
of 2008, drummer Lev Weinstein, joined Rock Child, and brought lots of great,
fresh energy, to the band. Some months later, Lev invited bass player, Brian
Hultz, to join the crew. Lev and Brian had played together in the past,
so Lev suspected Brian would fit perfectly into the picture. The line up
is complete, and Rock Child is ready for any arrangements, live performances,
or showcases. "We are very excited, and are looking forward to share our
vision and spread the message of our creation to the audiences..." says
T.J The band is currently recording 3 new songs in the LOFT Studio in Brooklyn,
NY. |
